Lake Hopatcong Water Quality Update

Lake Hopatcong Water Quality Update:

Due to NJ State DEP and the Governor's Office advisory regarding lake water quality and use, Row New Jersey will operate with caution, despite the recent DEP decisions that the lake is safe for boating. The health and safety of the team is our absolute priority, and with that, Board and Coaching staff has made the following decisions for the summer sessions:

  • Summer Racing Season: All practices will remain on land

  • Learn to Row Camps:

  • Master’s Learn to Row:

    • July 21st - pending additional testing updates from the DEP

The DEP continues to monitor lake quality twice weekly, and more updates will follow. Participants, parents, and interested parties will find ongoing updates on the Row New Jersey Website. Registrants will also be notified of updates via e-mail.  We are hopeful this water quality issues will dissipate quickly, and do not anticipate an impact to the fall racing season.
